Welcome to the Deer Valley Railroad

Of course, the Deer Valley RR is not a real railroad. At least, I don't think there is one by that name. Deer Valley is named for the region I live in, a Chicagoland suburb where fifteen years ago it was rare that you would ever see a deer out in an area populated by humans. These days though, too many people have occupied this area and have forced the deer out of their natural habitat. Now you see them all the time, and a lot of them get hit by cars.....and trains, too. They run through your back yard or down the street in broad daylight. So, deer being commonplace here, I decided on the name Deer Valley RR.

Here are some places to go and look if you want.
