Of course,
the Deer Valley RR is not a real railroad. At least, I don't
think
there is one by that name. Deer Valley is named for the region I live in,
a Chicagoland suburb where fifteen years ago it was rare that you would
ever see a deer out in an area populated by humans. These days though,
too many people have occupied this area and have forced the deer out of
their natural habitat. Now you see them all the time, and a lot of them
get hit by cars.....and trains, too. They run through your back yard or
down the street in broad daylight. So, deer being commonplace here, I decided
on the name Deer Valley RR.
