This EMD SD-45 painted in Great Northern scheme is lettered "Hustle Muscle". It was the first SD-45 series production model, built in 1965, with a horse power rating at 3600HP. The North Shore uses this locomotive for some it's dinner and excursion events.

The FP-7 deisel, produced between 1939 and 1957, was the ultimate in streamlined passenger locomotives. This one in particular saw regular service pulling the "Laker" passenger train for the SOO Line, now CP Rail, from St. Paul to Chicago. North Shore has done a wonderful job in maintaining the appearance and servicablity of this locomotive. It is also used for dinner and excursions.
