Chicago's Metra(R)Commuter Lines

The Metra trains are a common and familiar site in the Chicagoland area. Thousands of people depend on Metra's precision timing to get them to work daily. When the schedule says they're gonna be there, YOU better be there or you will most assuredly miss your train.

During 2003-2004, Metra received new MP36PH-3S locomotives from Motive Power Industries of Boise Idaho, equipped with GM-EMD engines. Numbers 420 and 424 sit idle in Fox Lake, IL on Sunday break awaiting their next six day work week.
