Chicago & Illinois Midland #551 - 1928

A 2-8-2 USRA Light Mikado freight locomotive built by Lima Locomotive Works. In the early part of the 20th century it was considered as the "workhorse of the railroad". The name was changed to "MacArthur" during WWII. Number 551 was received in 1955 as a donation from Chicago & Illinois Midland RR.

Baldwin Decapod #1621 - Circa 1916-17

This Baldwin Decapod is a non-operating sister to the Frisco #1630 at the Illinois Railway Museum. (click the link to see #1630 at IRM)

St. Louis, Iron Mountain & Southern #635 - 1889

Manufactured by Baldwin Locomotive Works for about $9,500, the 4-6-0 coal burner sports 61 inch drive wheels and weighs 147,300 lbs. (approx 73.5 tn). It saw plenty of freight and passenger activity. When SLIM&S merged with Missouri Pacific RR, the number was changed to 2707. Now preserved in it's original state, it is once again #635.

Union Pacific - Another of U.P.'s Big Boy series locomotives, #4006.

EMD Lightweight Train Locomotive - 1955

#3 in full restoration mode. I can't wait to go back to St. Louis and look at her when she is finally finished. See article below for details on this unique train.

#2915 appears to be a GP-30, although the shape of this locomotive isn't quite right.
