Right across the street......
Looking to the east toward Lake Superior we see one of the many giant loading piers that abound throughout this region. Hoppers filled with iron ore are rolled onto the tops of these piers and the shutes fold down from the sides of the pier in order to fill the ships waiting below.

I threw this photo in just to give you an idea of the immensity of these piers. Notice the row of hoppers on top. This particular pier is in Duluth harbor. The yellow dot in front of the crane on the ship's deck is a man in a yellow shirt.
