This site explains recent legislation that controls the sale and/or possession of firearms and ammunition in Cook county. I If you reside within the legal limits of Cook county, I must advise you that you are still subject to the Cook county ordinance regardless of where you purchased or otherwise acquired the firearm(s).
As a legal step, this dealer will not sell any type of handgun or handgun ammunition to any resident of Cook county, or any other community that enacts an ordinance banning certain firearms and ammunition. This dealer will, however sell handguns to verified sworn law enforcement officers in Cook county provided the purchase is endorsed by the agency at which they are employed (see orders page). This dealer shall be admonished from implication or involvement in any crime or accidental death, intentional or otherwise, resulting from the actual purchase of the firearm or ammunition.
